Our interest in transport
This morning a group of 12 children ventured out to further explore a big interest in transport, getting the opportunity to ride on a bus and train. There was so much to see on our travels, and we got to meet and talk with some lovely bus drivers and train guards.
When we arrived at Silverstream station, we had a play at McDonald's playground, before making our way back to the station and beginning our travels back. It was an exciting bonus that we got to see the diggers in action at one of the train stations, and children could make links with the different road signals and signs that we have back at the centre.
There were lots of smiley, yet tired children once we returned from our adventure and the love of transportation among these children has grown to a new height after this opportunity.
