Our mural for MacFarlene Park
We're proud to be involved in our local community, so when the opportunity arose for us to create a huge mural to go in MacFarlene Park, we jumped at it!
Helen from the Prepschool took on the challenge, and got every child involved.
Each child took the time to draw a picture of themselves, as well as their house. Helen carefully transferred these pictures onto the large piece of wood and supported the children to paint the sky and the grass. Helen then finished the reminder of the mural at home. Once she bought it back, we had it on display in the foyer for a couple of weeks. Tamariki looked taking their whanau over to it to show off their picture.
We are now waiting for the mural to be erected in MacFarlene Park. Whanau are eager to take their tamariki down to see it once it's there.
