Our preschoolers visit Hutt Central School
Recently some of BestStart Melling's pre-schoolers went on a school trip to Hutt Central School with teachers Hayley and Wafaa. What an awesome time we all had. We got to sit on the mat with the school children and their teacher. We went over the letters of the alphabet and spelt out some words. We then practiced writing our lower case ‘a’ in shaving foam!
We joined in with other activities, heard the school bell and had a good look around the school. We found the toilets and explored the library. To finish our time at school we had morning tea with the rest of the school and were even played on the playground.
This is going to be a regular excursion for our oldest pre-schoolers so they can experience first hand what it's like in a classroom, and to help prepare them for their transition to school. Can’t wait for the next visit!
