Our SPCA visit
Our philosophy was seen in action as the values of manakitanga/respect, aroha/love, whakawhirinaki/trust and he reka reka/fun were in full swing. The children learnt about how to show empathy and love to animals whilst learning how to stay safe around unknown animals. We sung, danced and learnt what we need to do to take care of all animals and then at the end we had the opportunity to pat Topsy the rabbit. The children here at BestStart Papanui love having members from the community come into share their knowledge with us.
