Today as part of our planning for the nga tamariki we set out a wonderful obstacle course using the coloured stepping stones as well as the coloured ladder. The tamariki first had to learn to line up and wait their turn. As they were waiting, each child empowered each other to call out the colours they were standing on and which colours they were jumping over.  Nga tamariki also used wonderful imagination by jumping over lava, stones and crocodiles.

Each tamariki explored their physical abilities and confidence all the while having fun with and alongside their peers. They all worked well together, learning colours, turn taking, sharing of resources, being physical and most of all challenging themselves while having lots of fun.
