Planting new goodies in our garden
We have been so busy outdoors in the last couple of weeks. We had some lovely new plants put into our playground and we have two new garden beds. Today the dirt arrived to fill up the new garden plots and all of the children were so keen to get stuck in and help. We had all our spades in use as we scooped up the dirt and moved it to our garden. Once the dirt was all shifted we planted some vegetable plants seedlings to get the garden started. Our pumpkins are growing so fast, every time we go to look they have gotten bigger.
An important part of our centre philosophy is teaching our children to be sustainable and look after our natural environment, what better way to learn this than through growing our own plants to eat and cook. We will be having a grand opening for our new refreshed garden in the coming months, come in and have a look at it!
