The children at BestStart Paraparaumu we were all waiting excitedly for our surprise visitors. We knew it was something exciting because our parent's and whanau and friends from the senior citizens home had all been invited. 

The wait was certianly worth it - it was a real live puppet show, all about Matariki and how the moon turned into the kiwi's egg and then a beautiful hatchling was born. 

We got to experience different sounds, puppets, a Maori legend, listening skills and we even got shown how to make our very own Inch Worm by the lady who did the puppet show for us.  We were all learning so many different skills to help us become school ready.
