Ensuring our children are ready for the next step in their educational journey is an important focus within Beststart Mangorei. We encourage our children to be independent, capable and confident, to ask questions and be curious about the world around them. At BestStart Mangorei we have a vision of making the world a better place, in support of this vision our children learn about sustainability through collecting rain water for play, composting, worm farm and even by regulating what they eat during the day to reduce waste. We provide wet bags for all our families to reduce the use of plastic bags, reuse our bread bags so that they are not just used the one time and when we go on excursions we take the bus, it’s free and reduces our carbon footprint on our natural world.

Relationships are important at BestStart Mangorei, with a strong focus on the social and emotional growth of all our children. This ensures our children are ready and eager to learn when they start school, curious about the world around them and confident to ask questions about things they are unsure of. This learning starts from the very first day at BestStart Mangorei, learning to say goodbye and move away engaging in play and learning. Our children learn to play alongside and with other children, sharing ideas and concepts that strengthen their own knowledge. Solitary play is valued and time is provided for children to explore at their own pace and in their own space.

This is just a small sample of the work and play that we do at BestStart Mangorei in preparation of your child attending Primary School.
