Relationships with Whānau

Both our Tahi and Rua centres have offer open door policy to the parents and whānau. We encourage parents to take active part in their child’s learning, via Story Park or in our centres. Drop off time and pick up time are great opportunity for parents to see what their child has been learning and how this influences their learning and development. Children take pride in showing their parents what they have been learning about and what they enjoy doing when they are at the centre. They love sharing news from the centre, introducing their parents to their friends and simply playing and sharing the fun with their whanau.

Spending time at our centre also gives opportunity to parent and whānau to engage with the teachers, share their family aspirations and ask questions about things that interest them. We take pride in our strong and reciprocal relationships with our tamariki’s whanau and the positive impact these have on our practice and children’s learning and development.
