Remembering our ANZACs
In remembrance of our soldiers, BestStart Manukau was very busy talking to children about the significance of Anzac Day. To mark the special day, children made poppy flowers, teachers read stories about Anzac Day, tamariki also enjoyed making an army tent and had lunch together. It was great to see our young children are talking about the Gallipoli campaign of World War.
Anzac Day is the solemn Day of remembrance of those Australian and New Zealand Army Corps/soldiers who have fought and died for their country. It is marked annually on 25th April.
