Remote learning during the Rāhui
The team at BestStart Glenfield have been working hard during the Rāhui to keep in touch with our families and whānau. We have held Zoom mat times where our tamariki have been able to be part or songs and stories as well as being able to chat with each other. We have also been providing fun and educational learning experience ideas that families could use at home. These have included car tracks, hut making, home made paint, ephemeral art experiences, shadow drawings, Frozen science experiences and Rock painting.
Our engagement over this time has been amazing with lots of different home stories being shared on Storypark. It's so great to see the learning that is happening during play, this has also been a great opportunity for families to see how our play based curriculum works and the fundamental skills and knowledge that is being gained.
