School Holiday fun at BestStart Te Awamutu

Wow what an amazing fun filled 2-week term break we have had here at BestStart Te Awamutu.  Over the holiday break the team got together and made an exciting programme that enhanced our relationships and involvement with our whanau and local community.

Over the fortnight the children were engaged in fun themed days such as water play, photo day, messy day, dress-up days, and local walks in our community. We finished our holiday programme off with a huge centre celebration as we have just reopened renovated play spaces.  The tamariki held a performance if front of their whānau and community, they enjoyed face painting, a light disco and had a lovely sausage sizzle with their loved ones.  There were raffles – donated by Carter family with all processes going to charity and our amazing whānau donated items for a local charity “loving arms”.  Our tamariki had such a great time, we look forward to the next term break.
