Settling back in the centre

This week the Kauri room tamariki/children have been busy rediscovering their surroundings after a long period absent as we as a nation stayed home to save lives.

Children have been rediscovering new friendships and catching up with old ones as they learn and play.

The gardens have grown and our kaiako/teacher Karen has been busy exploring the new growth and autumn colours with the children as we learn about the change in seasons – cold in the mornings and beautifully warm throughout the day. As the days are so warm we have been enjoying the outdoor playground using our gross motor skills such as climbing, swinging, crawling, balancing and running.
