The children at BestStart Marshland Rd were very lucky to have Paula from St John come and visit us with her ambulance.

Our tamariki were all very excited, we had Preschool, Prepschool and even some of our Pepe join us  for this awesome, interactive experience.

Paula showed us everything that you could think of to do with St John and the Ambulance. We learned what clothes ambulance officers wear, how to use a bandage, what a stethoscope is used for, what an oxygen tank does and how it helps us to breathe. She also explained that the ambulance has 3 different sirens, and what each one is used for.

We even learnt a song that helps us to remember what number to call in an emergency.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the visit from St John, especially getting to see their mini ambulance!
