Staying Safe! Staying Connected!
As we are aware that in the month of April New Zealand went into Alert level 4 and we united against Covid 19. We all had the opportunity of being a superhero by staying home in our bubbles. During this time the teachers were communicating with our families and providing support via Zoom and Story Park!
The teachers posted stories, activities and Jam sessions to keep our tamariki engaged. In return parents reciprocated by posting feedback, commenting on blogs, sharing photos of how tamariki were keeping busy. Teachers held story time and music sessions using story park to connect.
We were also able to celebrate Easter together by organising an egg hunt activity, where children had to count and spot how many eggs, they could see in each teacher's picture.
The Zoom meetings were a great way for the children to stay connected with their friends as well as their teachers! The children were really excited to see each other.
