Surprise kai time!
Here in the Preschool rūma our programme focus is on dramatic play after the observations we have noticed of the interest ngā tamariki have shown in this area.
This is super exciting for us as a team as it opens up endless possibilities on how we can extend this learning area and make it fun as well as educational.
Ngā tamariki had made some mini pizzas for kai and after we saw how much they enjoyed it we created a pizza parlour, sourcing real pizza boxes so they could create and deliver pizzas to the special dining tepū we set up.
As a special surprise, we ordered pizzas to be delivered straight to the rūma at kai time - what a delicious way to connect a pretend play activity to a real life experience!
