The gift of giving this Christmas
Over the last two to three weeks, we have been involved in a charity event, 'Pack the Bus' organised through a number of companies, including Pak n Save, Property Brokers, Manchester House and Media Works. We packed the bus with toys, clothes, food and wrapped gifts for families struggling this year. Some of the older children and a few of the young children in the centre got to choose a present and put it onto the bus.
This experience supports our value of learning about kindness and thinking about others. We wanted to give back to the community given COVID-19 has been particularly hard for some families this year and we wanted to make life a bit easier and happy for them and other families struggling in the lead up to Christmas.
We were so amazed by the generosity of our families and so were the organisers who thanked us very much. Thank you everyone and have a safe and happy Christmas knowing you made someone’s Christmas Day special!"
