The Olympics at BestStart North Road

We held our first ever Olympics at BestStart North Road on Friday. Tamariki participated in seven different events - sprint, relay, long jump, shot put, gymnastics, javelin and rhythmic gymnastics. We had children and teachers representing countries all over the world. Congrats to our medalists and everyone that participated. They all did an amazing job cheering each other on. Thank you to the Paihamu room for opening the ceremony with the flag they made as part of their room planning whanaungatanga.

We learnt patience as we waited for our turn, team spirit as we cheered each other on, We worked on communication as we learnt about each others heritage and passed on information to each other about how to play the games whew so much learning and so much fun.
