The Preschool room explores the farm
Last month our preschool children went on an excursion to the Farmyard in Orari. Farm life is a big part of our culture here at BestStart Pleasant Point therefore we wanted to extend on the interests of our tamariki and support their exploration of the wider world around us.
With the support of our wonderful parent helpers and our local bus station we were on the road. Excitement filled the air as we waited so patiently during the bus ride watching out the window in anticipation of what was to come.
As we explored the farm many of our tamariki were able to make links from their home life experiences. What fun the tamariki had getting to see and feed the different animals. They were even lucky enough to get a donkey ride!
After an action packed morning we jumped back on the bus to head back to the centre. I think everyone would have slept well after that night after our big adventure!
