The very special visitor we already know!
We have had an ongoing interest at BestStart Montessori Taradale in rescue vehicles and the Police. What better way to extend this than to have one of our awesome parents, Libby, bring in a police car for the children to experience up close. The children were able to see both Libby and her fellow officer Ryan in their special hi-vis vests, and we were even allowed to play with the sirens (which were very loud!!). This was a great way to demonstrate to the children that the Police are approachable and friendly, and they are even Mums and Dads! This special visit sparked lots of talk about police cars and in our 0-3 room we have created a book for the children which contains images of different rescue vehicles to extend their interest further.
