The first fun filled day excursion in 2021 for our tamariki toddlers of BestStart Bader was just a short walk from our centre to the wonderful Melville Park. It is one of Kirikiriroa’s most well known parks.

We encourage and create outdoor experiences for ngā tamariki in order to spend more time outside play and have fun in the sunshine. Ngā tamariki had lots of fun exploring and playing on the swings, seesaws, playing parachute games, follow the leader, climbing the ladders, gathering some of the natural resources from papatūānuku as well as extending our kotahitanga. By getting outside and being active outdoors, these learning opportunities are not only improving our children’s physical well-being but also helping them improve their emotional and social well-being.
