Our focus in the nursery this month is Tūrangawaewae. For us this means that the children in our nursery feel a sense of belonging in the nursery. That it is a place where they feel empowered and confident and that we are an extension of their home.

We have had so many new children start with us and kaiako (teachers) have been busy building relationships with the children. The children are also learning new social skills while they navigate sharing space and resources with each other.  The older children are enjoying testing their physical skills by climbing on everything and practicing their walking skills. The younger children are actually all on the move too! Testing their limits by pulling themselves up on things and crawling around the classroom.
