We recently took the children on the bus to Margaret Mahy park. Although we had some troubles getting onto the first bus, we were able to make it onto the second one. All the children were well behaved on the bus and enjoyed looking out the windows at all the things passing by.

All the children seemed to enjoy exploring the different equipment and the change of scenery. After a good play, the children began getting tired, so we jumped in the pram and had some banana and crackers to eat before heading back to the bus.

We love getting out in the community and seeing what it has to offer. Excursions can support building kaitiakitanga and a sense of exploration and adventure.

During this trip, the children were able to practice their balance, gross motor skills, hand-eye co-ordination as well as being able to spend time together to support building relationships together.
