What a busy month we have had, although we did not get to finish the month due to the lock down, we still managed to do so many cool things!

We had a visit from the St John Ambulance community volunteer who talked about what we can do in an emergency. One of our Kaiako had an accident, so we had to bandage her up. The children then practiced on each other and had so much fun.

The most important aspect was when we got told that if we feel unsafe then we have to dial “111” then she let us play with the ambulance while we got to hear the different types of sirens that there is for emergency services such as Police, Ambulance and Fire Brigade.

This was such a great learning experience for our tamariki and we look forward to learning more about the different emergency departments and the roles they play in our communities.
