At BestStart Hei Hei we are lucky to be within walking distance of our local Hornby Library. We enjoy getting out on excursions there when we can, and they will often put on a special storytime for us. To celebrate Matariki we organised for Veronica from Hornby Library to do a Matariki storytime for us. The tamariki really enjoyed singing Matariki songs and reading Matariki books and board stories. This was a great way for us to get out into the community, further our Matariki knowledge and develop our literacy and reading knowledge and interest.
