Visiting the RSA to mark ANZAC Day
To mark this year's Anzac Day celebration, our tamariki at BestStart Meadowbank decided to visit the local RSA to show our respect to those war heroes. We delivered our home baked Anzac cookies and a self made gift card. In return, we received a big warm welcome from the RSA members. In addition to offering us yummy snacks and hot beverage, the veterans spent decent time showing us the RSA facilities and shared with our children their wartime stories. The trip not only deepened our children's understanding of the wider community, it also reinforced their meaning making process of the world across the time.
