Volano eruption
In the Seedlings Room at BestStart Te Awamutu the tamariki have been actively exploring their senses. Today our little locals did this through making sandpit volcanoes. The tamariki loved creating their own volcano using 3 ingredients that you can find at home; vinegar, red dye and baking soda. Our children showed and developed their independence and communications skills as they worked together enjoying this cause and effect learning activity. It was a great chance to talk to our children about our local mountains such as Kakepuku and Mt Pirongia.
