We spent the month of January settling back in slowly but surely. We’ve been absolutely embracing the sun, enjoying water play almost on the daily, and making the most of every minute in the outdoors! We’ve been reconnecting with friends after some time apart, sharing Christmas and summer holiday stories with each other over picnics on the grass.

We’ve also been enjoying taking it easy, often taking time out to participate in peaceful activities such as reading books alongside friends in an attempt to unwind at parts of the day where it gets extremely warm, making sure we stay hydrated and well protected from Mr. Sun in this heat!

The teachers have been working hard at adding to our classrooms as we prepare them for the year ahead, making sure that we have plenty of resources to engage with, lots of space for movement and learning and a warm, cosy feel to encourage a ‘home away from home’ feel. We have also welcomed our new Head Teacher in the Preschool, Amanda. Amanda joined our teaching team this month and brings with her years and years of experience in early childhood, and a huge passion for programme planning! Amanda holds a wealth of knowledge and we are so excited to learn with and alongside her!

We are so excited about the year ahead, and most of all, we cannot wait to share it with all of you. This year, our centre vision is “Inspiring through play!”. Our teachers are extremely passionate about this vision and believe that children learn through play opportunities provided to them. Our educators then strive to capture teachable ‘moments’ to further extend the interest of our children as they guide their own learning which then leads to project based activities throughout the days, often continuing for weeks, maybe even months depending on where the children lead…

Come along for the journey, we’d love to have you!
