Another year has come to the end, Beststart Kenderdine have made lots of cherished memories together. We have watched our tamariki learn and develop new skills, interests and strengths throughout their milestones. These have supported them to become confident and competent children with their unique identities.

Recently we have celebrated children's Christmas party at the centre and it was blast with Children’s Christmas performances, gifts, special Christmas lunch and involvement of our lovely whanau through Zoom. Throughout the month, tamariki had an opportunity to explore and acknowledge how Christmas can be celebrated while making decorations for their rooms and to take as gifts for their families. Children also practiced different waiata Kirihimete that supported their oral language skills through exploring new sounds and words which they can use around everyday in their korero.

Kia kaha to all our whanau for their support and encouragement throughout the process of settling their child/children back to their rooms under the traffic light system. We had an amazing month in December welcoming new families and their children and building strong relationship through respectful interactions and understandings of the child’s identity, language and culture.

We are all so ready to welcome year 2022.
