The children at ABC Mayfield loved exploring their creativity using different coloured shells and quick dry dough. They helped the teachers to choose what colour dough they would like to use and which resources. They decided on rolling pins and cutters to mould their dough and shells to decorate with. The children spent time exploring the texture of the dough, learning about the way it feels and what it looks like when it is stretched out. Once they had explored the dough it was time to decide what shapes they would like to make and how they would like to use the shells to decorate it.

Throughout this experience the children learnt alongside one another and talked about what they were making, provided each other with ideas and shared their excitement over their completed project.
