ABC Invercargill North
ABC Invercargill North is a warm, safe and welcoming centre that provides quality education for children. Our centre is situated opposite Queens Park and provides care for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old.
Respect, trust and independence - We believe that children and their families have the right to be treated with respect at all times. We provide a safe and secure environment, fun and nurturing experiences and the time and space to explore in an inclusive environment.
Child-led learning - We encourage children to take the lead and be responsible for their own learning by providing loads of experiences and resources in our purpose-built centre to allow this to happen.
Family relationships - We build reciprocal, trusting relationships and partnerships with our children, families and the wider community. We value and welcome family and whanau input to accommodate the needs of your family, to ensure we are providing the best care for your child/children.
Individual support - We believe that each child is unique, therefore each child has an individual programme for steady growth, development and learning.
Individual profiles which include observation notes and photos are kept for all children. These are compiled by teachers on a regular basis. Children’s portfolios are available online through Storypark so you can share your child’s learning journey with friends and family and also share those moments from home with the teachers.
Healthy eating - Our centre provides all meals for your child which are nutritious and prepared on sight by an experienced cook. We have a Gold Healthy Heart Award from the NZ Heart Foundation.
