Our childcare and education programme

Infants and Toddlers

Our infant and toddler teachers support children in developing foundation skills and reaching their milestones. Our teachers will keep you updated on your child's progress, challenges and special moments. Our teachers build solid relationships with our babies because they know how important it is for ongoing development. Being a small centre, our older children have the opportunity to be part of this process, providing them with the opportunity to develop empathy with their younger peers.

Our preschoolers benefit from our Be School Ready initiative which ensures children leave the centre as confident, capable learners, prepared for the next step in their education journey. Children experience many learning opportunities in games, art, music, mat time and various other activities that help develop their literacy, numeracy and understanding of the world around them. Children’s physical and gross motor skills are also challenged in our wonderful outdoor environment. Our children learn to share and relate to each other and are encouraged to take responsibility for their belongings and develop self-help skills to prepare them for school.

Our Vision

Hapaitia te ara tika pumau ai te rangatiratanga mo nga uri whakatipu –

Foster the pathway of knowledge to strength, independence and growth for future generations.

We welcome you to visit our centre to meet the team and see what we can offer you and your child. We look forward to meeting you.

kind words from our parents

I looked at a few centres before having ABC Waterview recommended to me by a friend who has a child there and I’m so glad they did. It has a nice big outdoor area and spacious indoors too. The staff are excellent and very attentive and caring plus I’m always impressed at the variety of interesting activities they have the children doing. My son has been going there for a year now and absolutely loves it.

Since starting at ABC Waterview my child’s education has come along in leaps and bounds. Most important of all he has been happy and well settled there since day one!

We love ABC Waterview!! Some of the highlights are an amazing, large, shaded play area; friendly, positive, engaged teachers who genuinely care for the children; healthy, diverse menu and the expectations the children learn around eating, sharing, manners and trying new things;respect, communication and community are priorities and as a parent this is ideal.
