Community Kindy Greenwood
Here at Community Kindy Greenwood, children are supported to further develop their interests and are given the opportunity to explore, learn and experience all that they can.
We are a team of qualified teachers who understand about child development and how to maximise children’s learning potential learn through everyday play and routines. We promote and extend children’s thinking around maths, science, technology, literacy, the arts, music, gardening, taking care of animals and physical education.
Our unique Be School Ready initiative includes visits to local primary schools and teachers from the primary schools are invited to join our parent evenings. We have a lending library for the 4 year olds where children experience the joys of books and are able to share them with their families/whānau.
We recognise and value parent’s ideas and input into their child’s learning. We welcome your contribution to your child’s education and every day, teachers will be glad to see and talk to you. We use Story Park online portfolios which enable parents to see and make comments about their child’s stories and photos and enable the wider family to see them too.
Come and visit us today to see all our centre has to offer.
kind words from our parents
Great newsletter!! Seriously, Jackson LOVES going to kindy every morning and the excursions coming up he will be so excited about. Good work team!
My nearly 2 year old son Oliver started at Community Kindy Greenwood in March. He has been having a blast. When we leave home in the mornings he claps and smiles all the way to the centre. He has formed an attachment with all staff and when I pick him up at night he is upset to leave. He is developing a lot faster since he has started at the centre and we can see a change in him on days he has been at the centre. The staff are so lovely and friendly – would definitely recommend the centre to anyone looking for childcare.
