TopKids Welcome Bay
Kia ora, welcome to TopKids Welcome Bay. “Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti arohia o tatou mahi” - “Let the uniqueness of the child guide our work”
Our Place - TopKids Welcome Bay is a purpose built early learning centre situated on the main road of Welcome Bay. We are surrounded with native bush and a beautiful estuary where we can observe nature from our playgrounds.
Our centre has close relationships with our three local schools Welcome Bay School, Selwyn Ridge School and Maungatapu School.
About us - We cater for 50 children with 38 over two year olds and 12 under two year olds. In our two spacious areas, we are able to provide learning environments tailored to your child’s stage of development. Our two rooms have resources aimed at the particular stage of development and current interest with professional teachers who plan for each individual child’s learning using the New Zealand Early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki.
Our knowledgeable teachers can tell you not only what learning is taking place but also why we are doing it. You will find play with a purpose. Our passionate teachers work closely with whanau to support and map out children’s development and progress.
At TopKids Welcome Bay we are an enriching, innovative and inspiring centre that captures the essence of all tamariki and their whanau. Tamariki experience opportunities that foster a solid foundation for building life skills as 21st century learners.
Koru Room - Our Koru Room, symbolising new life, growth, strength and peace, it is a warm and friendly environment where our nurturing professional teachers follow your child’s individual needs and routines. We cater for children ranging in ages from 0-2.5 years old.
Pohutukawa Room - Our Pohutukawa Room, symbolising the magnificent tree, known for its spreading shape and beauty, caters for children ranging in ages from 2.5-5 years old. Our friendly, qualified teachers provide rich, learning experiences to support each child’s development. Children are given the opportunity to explore and grow through play. Our enthusiastic teachers support and encourage children to develop their love of learning, through engaging children in a literacy and sensory rich environment. Children are encouraged to learn and play alongside each other developing positive social skills. We encourage children to feel confident on their learning journey leaving us as confident and competent lifelong learners through our unique Be School Ready initiative.
What makes us unique? - We have a strong bi-cultural practice, healthy nutritious meals made on site, low staff turnover and our passionate teachers care for tamariki with love, care and harmony.
We would love for you to come and visit our centre and meet our dedicated team of teachers.
