At BestStart Flatbush School Road, we believe in creating enriching experiences for our tamariki that blend learning with hands-on fun. Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to host a mobile farm animal visit, and it was truly a day to remember! From the moment the friendly farmer arrived, excitement filled the air. The children gathered around with wide-eyed anticipation, eager to see what the day would bring.

This visit was more than just a chance to meet animals; it was a unique learning experience about nature, food sources, and animal care. As the farmer introduced each animal, the joy on the children’s faces was priceless. They met adorable little sheep, a cheeky goat, fluffy bunnies, and even chirpy chickens. The highlight? Getting to interact with the ponies! The children eagerly took turns feeding the animals, gently brushing their fur, and asking questions about their habits and habitats.

The hands-on experience of touching, feeding, and learning about the animals fostered a sense of wonder and curiosity. Laughter and joy echoed as the tamariki played with the animals, took turns riding ponies, and shared stories about their own pets at home. The day was not just educational; it was filled with fun and excitement.

As the visit came to a close, the children were buzzing with enthusiasm and new knowledge. They couldn’t stop talking about their favourite animals and the lessons they had learned. It was heartwarming to see them so engaged and eager to share their experiences.

The mobile farm animal visit was a wonderful way to bring the joys of the farm to our centre. It reinforced our commitment to experiential learning, allowing the children to connect with nature and understand the world around them. We look forward to more adventures like this in the future, creating lasting memories and fostering a love for learning in our tamariki.
