This year, our Christmas party theme was “A Kiwi Christmas”, capturing the true spirit of the season. Each year, we choose a theme to create something magical for our tamariki and their whānau.

The idea came when we welcomed an international teacher to our team. It was her first Christmas in New Zealand, so we wanted to share how Kiwis celebrate and enjoy our unique traditions.

The day was filled with laughter, fun, and activities for all ages. Families enjoyed games like cornhole, treasure hunts, cookie decorating, and a lively disco. Face painting added colour and excitement for the tamariki, creating a festive atmosphere.

A highlight was the children and teachers performing Christmas songs with musical instruments. Their performance brought joy and a heartfelt touch to the celebration.

No Kiwi Christmas is complete without kai! We served a classic sausage sizzle, followed by ice cream cones for dessert—a simple treat everyone enjoyed. The turnout was fantastic, and seeing so many smiling faces was heartwarming.

Together, we created lasting memories, celebrating community, culture, and the joy of being together during this special time of year.
