We organised a fun Carnival Summer Day at BestStart Everglade Babies in Auckland, turning the centre into a lively playground filled with games, food, music, dancing, and laughter.

Kaiako dressed up as clowns, with costumes thoughtfully prepared by our Centre Manager Candice. Tamariki were also able to choose from a variety of costumes, including a crocodile, butterflies, zebra outfits, and clown headgear.

Throughout the day, kaiako offered a range of exciting activities for tamariki to enjoy, including colourful face painting, hop-scotch, wooden stacking challenges, balancing along a wavy tactile green path, hula-hoop fun, bike racing on a mini track, and exploring a play tunnel. We also created a food station display for everyone to enjoy.

These activities helped keep the children engaged and entertained while creating a relaxed and energetic atmosphere. Experiences like this are valuable in early childhood, as they offer tamariki opportunities to explore, play, and build confidence in a joyful environment.

Whānau also joined the celebration, making the event even more meaningful and helping strengthen the sense of community within our centre.

To finish the day, we served ice-cream in wafer cones. Everyone was buzzing with excitement, laughing, dancing, and making special memories together under the summer sunshine.

Ngā mihi,
