At BestStart Everglade Babies, we love celebrating the diverse cultures within our community and creating meaningful learning experiences for our tamariki.
This year, we came together to celebrate Vaisakhi, a vibrant harvest festival that marks the beginning of the spring harvest season and holds special cultural and spiritual significance for many families. It is a time of gratitude, new beginnings, and community.
Our centre was filled with joy, colour, and excitement as our tamariki experienced the spirit of Vaisakhi through music, dancing, storytelling, and hands-on cultural activities. The celebrations created a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children explored new traditions while having fun alongside their friends and kaiako.
It was heartwarming to see our little ones smiling, dancing, and engaging with the festivities as they learned about the importance of this beautiful festival. Through these experiences, our tamariki developed an appreciation for different cultures and the values of togetherness, gratitude, and respect.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful kaiako, Centre Manager, and families for helping make this celebration so meaningful and memorable. Your support and enthusiasm helped create a special day for everyone.
