The recent school holidays have been filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of memorable moments here at BestStart Vardon Road

Our tamariki have enjoyed a fantastic range of activities that encouraged creativity, teamwork, and lots of fun along the way.

One of the highlights of our School Holiday Programme was our much-loved Fish and Chip Day, where children enjoyed sharing a delicious meal together while practising social skills and building friendships.

We also got active during our exciting Sports Day, where tamariki demonstrated excellent teamwork, perseverance, and enthusiasm as they participated in a variety of games and challenges. Adding even more fun to the holidays was our favourite Character Dress-Up Day and our wacky hair day.

It was wonderful to see the children arrive dressed as their favourite characters, proudly sharing who they were and sparking imaginative conversations and play with their peers.

The smiles and excitement throughout the day showed just how much everyone enjoyed this special event. Alongside these highlights, the children have been busy participating in many other engaging activities that supported their learning while creating joyful holiday memories.

As we look ahead to one of our favourite celebrations of the year, we have already started creating some wonderfully spooktacular Halloween crafts! Our learning spaces are beginning to transform with an array of colourful and creative decorations made by the children.

From fluttering bats and friendly ghosts to cheerful pumpkins, wrapped-up mummies, and many other spooky creations, our tamariki have been enthusiastically exploring different art techniques and expressing their creativity.

These experiences provide wonderful opportunities for children to develop fine motor skills, confidence, imagination, and a sense of belonging as they work together to decorate their environment.

We can't wait to see all of our Halloween creations come together for our upcoming Halloween Dress-Up Party!
