At Brooklyn, we are so lucky to have fruit trees around our playground and in our car park.
Today, our mandarins were ready to be picked so they could be eaten!
We had some friends who wanted to be there to help pick the ripe fruit. What awesome teamwork! We had some friends in the tree picking the fruit and others who would then put the fruit into the buckets. This made everyone feel involved as we all worked as a team.
After the fruit had been picked, we sat down and tried some of the delicious mandarins. It was nice to try some fruit freshly picked and that we had grown ourselves. Any extras that we had, we invited our families and community to enjoy them as well.
