Our pēpi in the Nursery have been spending lots of time in the Reading Space, enjoying books
So our amazing kaiako reorganised the Reading Space in the Kikorangi Room to continue sparking their interest.
Tamariki enjoy flipping through pages and looking at pictures with their friends, which encourages the use of verbal language among them, while kaiako model new vocabulary.
Since reorganising the space, we have noticed tamariki showing an even greater interest in spending time reading books.
Kaiako have also made a small, cosy outdoor reading space to further support and extend this interest.
