In celebration of Samoan language week, here at BesatStart Montessori Otumoetai, our tamariki explored a number of Samoan artwork, read books about Samoa and their culture and learnt a few Samoan words. Learning about different culture is a part of our Cultural curriculum. This week was an opportunity for us to celebrate the identity, language and culture of Samoan people which helps in our journey towards cultural understandings.
