Christmas at Tauranga Central was celebrated with a shared lunch, fun Christmas-themed activities, and a special visit from Santa. Tamariki, kaiako and whānau enjoyed a joyful and relaxed community event that brought everyone together.

Throughout the morning, tamariki took part in Christmas craft activities and games, followed by a delicious morning tea of ice cream and strawberries. As whānau arrived with their shared kai, everyone sat together to chat, share food, and enjoy a strong sense of belonging and togetherness.

Tamariki proudly shared Christmas waiata with their whānau, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. These moments provided meaningful learning opportunities, supporting the development of social skills, confidence, and an understanding of mahi tahi through real-life community experiences.

Santa arrived as tamariki sang Haere Mai a Hana Koko to welcome him. Families had the opportunity to meet Santa if they wished, and every child received a beautiful book. There were many smiles and special photo moments throughout the celebration.

Manaakitanga and whanaungatanga are core values of our centre culture. At Tauranga Central, we are committed to celebrating family connections and fostering a strong sense of belonging within our community.
