At our centre, we believe that art is more than creating a beautiful picture.

It is a way for tamariki to explore, discover, experiment and express their ideas!

In Arts, we provide meaningful, hands-on experiences that invite tamariki to learn through curiosity and creativity. Recently, our tamariki became little artists and scientists as they explored three exciting painting experiences.

First, they used spray bottles filled with coloured water to spray onto crepe paper. As the paper became wet, the colours travelled and blended, creating beautiful flowing patterns. Tamariki watched closely, experimenting with where and how much they sprayed. This encouraged curiosity, coordination, and an understanding of how water can change and move colour.

Our second experience brought an element of surprise! Hanging cups filled with paint slowly released colourful drops through small holes. Tamariki watched the paint flow while moving the cups, creating unique lines, patterns, and colour combinations.

They explored cause and effect while developing coordination and control. Our third experience was a favourite—colouring fish scales using make-up remover pads and droppers! This experience supported fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration.

The simple action of squeeze, drop, watch and discover turned into a rich learning experience! Through these experiences, we show how everyday materials can become opportunities for wonder, creativity, problem-solving, and discovery.

At our centre, tamariki are encouraged to be curious, confident learners who can create, explore, experiment, and let their imaginations lead the way!
