We do this through a safe and secure environment, a fun and nurturing space that is inclusive and allows tamariki time and space to explore.

Our vision is Tūrangawaewae | A Place to Connect and we do this through our strong connections with whānaungatanga (close connections to people, places and things) and papatūānuku (our environment).

Our centre is led by centre manager Savvy Sarah whose superhero strength is empowering each and every one to reach their potential in a supportive atmosphere.

Bubbly Becky is our administrator whose superhero strength is building relationships, she aims to spend time in the classroom daily, playing with the tamariki and leading sing-along action songs.

Exemplary Erin is the head teacher of both Rūma Pikopiko (0 -1 year old) and Rūma Harakeke (1 – 2 year old). Erin’s superhero strength as a teacher is communicating with parents, whānau about their child’s learning, facilitating large group activities and behind the scenes excels in compliance.

Keen Kim is the head teacher of both Rūma Mataī (2 – 3.5-year-old) and Rūma Kahikatea (3.5 – 5-year-old) her superhero strength is having fun. Kim is always smiling, and you can hear her laughter throughout the centre. She is often called silly and loves dancing, singing, games, playing and exploring with the tamariki.

Splendid Sue teaches in Rūma Kahikatea, her superhero teaching strength is making connections with tamariki. Sue loves helping tamariki set goals and seeing them persist, grow and achieve those goals.

Compassionate Carin teaches in Rūma Pikopiko. Carin’s superhero teaching strength is being open to feedback regarding her own learning and is good at building relationships with tamariki. Inspirational Inez teaches in Rūma Pikopiko, her superhero teaching strength is being able to see the potential in environments and resources and making them fun and inviting for tamariki.

Sensational Sam is our teacher in training in Rūma Harakeke. Sam’s superhero teaching strength is being patient and empathetic while caring for our tamariki. She has a passion for healthy kai and loves sharing this with the tamariki. Sam embraces the mess and encourages the tamariki to participate.

Amazing Angela teaches in Rūma Mataī, her superhero teaching strengths are setting up an inviting and fun environment while encouraging children to get involved in various experiences at drop off time.

Sparkling Sithabile teaches in Rūma Mataī and her superhero teaching strength is communication, her go to experience is outdoor exploration, getting the tamariki involved in all the environment has to offer.

Delightful Demi is our teacher in training in Rūma Mataī, her superhero teaching strength is making the children’s day brighter and happy. She enjoys getting to know each child and their whānau. You will always know when she is in the room, engaged in her element, enjoying shaping little futures.

Joyful Jamie is our kitchen/caregiver and spends her time in the kitchen preparing delicious kai for tamariki and when she isn’t doing this, she’s in the classrooms. Jamie’s superhero strength is making the tamariki laugh and have a good time with them. She is also super organised.

Dynamic Danielle is our all-rounder, cover teacher, that supports all rooms and their tamariki, her superhero teaching strength is her passion for the community, planting in the community garden, taking tamariki into the bush and visiting Queens Park and the community around us.

Knowledgeable Kevin leads our Bush Kindy Programme ‘Wild at Heart”. His superhero strength is bush exploration and outdoor activities, he is organised and stays calm under pressure. The tamariki love having fun, learning social skills and risk taking as they develop an appreciation for nature through Bush Kindy.

Approachable Anne is our caregiver, her superhero strength is talking with the tamariki, empathising and giving great cuddles. Her go to is storytelling and blowing bubbles, the children love it.
