Daffodil Day 2022- Dixon Heights
To mark Daffodil Day, our tamariki were provided with experiences where they used their senses to explore. They used glitter, glue and paint to create their own piece of work. Tamariki have had mat times previous to this day to talk about the importance behind Daffodil Day and why we ask their families for a koha to help support the cause.
With our vision of Love Me, Believe in Me, Teach Me, tamariki have had opportunities to enjoy relationships with others, be creative and try new things, and also be able to refine their fine motor skills while they are involved in our centre ritual.
Within our Centre Philosophy under Opportunities – We endeavour to provide an environment that creates and supports children to think, wonder, challenge, investigate further and research their working theories of the world around them. This is very evident in these Daffodil Day interactions.
