Our Beststart Coronation children went shopping today for supplies for our Big Heart Day Appeal at our local supermarket.

Our trip proved to be a huge success! With great enthusiasm, children learned how to select delicious and nutritious veggies as well as other ingredients for our Big Heart Day appeal. Moreover, our tamariki showed excellent listening skills by holding hands while crossing the roads, waiting when directed, and understanding safe interactions with new people. Inside the shop, they learned to locate items from a list proceed to the checkout, and wait for their turn to make the payment. Upon returning to the center, the pride on the children's faces was evident as they contributed to fundraising by making purchases.

Furthermore, they enthusiastically shared how they followed the teachers' guidance during the excursion. The learning outcome of this above learning connects as follows; Contribution| Mana tangata: Children experience an environment where they are encouraged to learn with and alongside others.
