“Role Play” activity was conducted with children of preschool rua during mat time. It was an interactive activity which captivated the interest of the children. We chose the story “The three little pigs” where the three children enacted as three pigs and one child performed as a wolf. We made pigs noses, wolf nose and three houses made of straw, wood and bricks and the children practised their roles.

While  narrating the story, the four children were performing their roles where other children took deep interest in listening to the story. Role play is a great activity for children for learning a story which will develop their imagination, social skills, communication, literacy, and problem-solving abilities. They will be able to learn new words, pronunciation, sentence formation, verbal, and non-verbal communication. It is a form of art where children can perform and get exposure in their learning.
