A Busy Month

This month we have been very busy here at BestStart Rugby Park. The Tiki and Koru room have been go, go, go outside while we have had some amazing summer days. We always make the most of the sunny days as we explore the water play, making lakes in the sandpit, and the most fun part of summer, the hose and the sprinkler! The tamariki love having the hose out on a hot day, challenging their kaiako to get them with the hose as they run around laughing together.

We have been continuing to explore our physical development through our new stepping block resources and some awesome tyres that are just the right size for the tamariki to curl up and roll around in, as well as using them to create their own monster trucks and cars. The tamariki have also been using the tyres during their physical experiences to jump in and out of or using them with the balance board to walk across.

We have also been on an excursion down to Rose lodge to visit the elderly and share stories and songs with them. Our tamariki really enjoy being out in our local community and sharing their smiles and laughter with all those they meet during their outings.
