A Busy Start to the New Year for BestStart Highfield

Kia Ora and Welcome to 2024! 

We are already well on our way into the exciting events, adventures and learning for the year. Here at Best Start Highfield, we have had lots of fun together participating in the holiday programme. Lots of water play fun, wacky hair day, dress as your favourite character, and a dance party day!

All the tamariki and kaiako had lots of fun together. We have also celebrated several cultural days, such as Australia Day and Chinese New Year. Each of the classrooms worked together and created their own way of displaying Waitangi Day while showing how we have been celebrating our New Zealand culture. 

Our latest celebration was for Valentine's Day. We had a special persons day where we invited whanau into the centre for a shared morning kai and to spend some time together. This was a popular event and was enjoyed by all that were able to come.
